Lately, LEOs not giving any radar off while driving? Why?

So I'm in NJ and I've definitely noticed over the last couple years ongoing to this day, that while driving, most LEOs are giving off zero radar signatures while moving. I remember years ago, it was almost always the opposite. Even while sitting, some no longer have radar on, I find more often than not now, they don't have radar on when I see them. So, does anyone know why? Has there been some kind of new radar tech overhaul? They don't seem to be pop or instant on systems, because I've been on my bike and my car speeding, with no hits, or seen other people speeding by. Also been down long roads where there's a know trap up ahead, with no ka bursts being detected. This has been observed with my v1 on my bike and the 8500x50 in my car and I know they work.

Are you sure they're not using LIDAR? Even the V1 has a hard time with that. It's also possible they're using I/O and just being really selective.

Their radar is not on or is in standby mode

LIDAR is becoming more popular and effective with radar less common, that and utilizing instant on when a reading is needed rather than just driving around blasting a signal out.
