    Default Multanova in Croatia!

Really BAD NEWS guys, at least for Croatia!!!

Tested just a half an hour ago and:
    Bel Euro550 Ka: 34.000+34.300+34.700
    Bel 975R Ka:34.360+34.700

Multanova setup, really weird! It was directed towards oncoming traffic, but parked car was in front of it!!! P M O <-- (P=police car, O=car, M=multanova, <--=traffic) and multanova was facing parked car!!!

Now really bad news: Both detectors didn't pick it up!!! So I used SuperWideKa on Euro550 and the frequency showed: 34.890 in the first run and in the second 34.950!!!

975R was silent in the both runs! (SuperWideKa was off)

Houston we have a problem! I don't know how can they measure through the parked car! I know that they did measure, cause some 500m down the road was another police car stopping speeders!

radar cannot physically travel through metal... law of physics. Maybe that "parked car" in front actually had the equipment in it?!

Thats one seriously de calibrated multanova! you wouldn't even pick it up with the 34,7GHz band on the 550. No wonder the 975 did not pick it up, and the 550 in wideband does not give good enough distances unless its in narrow.

    Default Multanova in Croatia?

Is it definitely a Multanova gun or is it the Ramer 7M - both are on Ka band and a complete SOB to detect in advance.

pics of both guns at the following websites:

I really don't think it was a multanova. It's not possible for the frequency to drift so far off.

Do you think they could have been using the reflection of the parked car to actually pick up speed of cars coming from behind instead?

    Carlos:
nvr2fast asked target auto about the 966R compared to the 975R. They said the 966R's narrow mode will scan a wider frequency range than the 975R. Therefore making it easier to pick up out of tune multanovas. Any truth to this?
