I was given this CB radio today for free with a $10 walmart antenna. I was on the highway and I have power and my antenna was mounted right and I was on ch. 19 and was getting no answers from any body. I have nooo idea how to work the CB with all the little buttons. I've tryed other channels but got no answers in return. Any ideas??

Might be just nobody around or your squelch is too high, check the volume? Also range is a big factor. Channel 19 is the main "talk" channel so you won't hear much on the others except maybe some er...private conversations.

I think my speaker for the CB may be broke actually. I can see the bar moving when i'm talking and when someone else is talking back but i cant hear it. What do you guys think?

try what the above post says to do.you might need a better antenna those cheap ones wont cut it most of them the swr reading are to high you need a swr meter to tune your cb antenna for the best range and ears your best bet is a wilson antenna.if your swr is to high you wont hear nothing or be able to talk to anyone your will burn you cb up so becareful.
