Default CB radio for traffic stops?

Was wondering if I should get one to tune onto police radio...is it possible? What channel would I have to look for and is there a chance I wouldn't find it?
    thanks

    Well that's not cool.
BUT now I really want a CB to be able to chit chat with the truckers on 95 and find out info on where the LEO's are sitting. Will any CB do or are there certain ones that do that job?

    P.s I'll be using ebay.

Cops don't transmit over the CB radio. Truckers do! and the truckers likely inform others on ch19 about what they might face ahead

Can you recommend a good cordless CB. I really don't want a hardwire one with a big antenna stuck on my car...

you don't have to hard wire your cb radio, mine isn't hard wired at all it's infact conntected to an adapter with a 12 v plug in and my antenna is not big at all very low profile and i get really good reception on it.
