Uniden at Radioshack

Maybe I have never paid attention before but when I was looking at scanners the other day I saw some unidens on there. I think Radio Shack and Unidens are made by GRE or something but I don't ever remember seeing Unidens in the store.

Is it a corporate RS, or is it a franchise store? Franchise stores can carry about anything they want and from talking to a few franchisees, RS doesn't sell to them at a very good price sometimes, so they'll carry competing products that they can make a better margin on.

Well I didn't see it in the store. It was on there website.

GRE and Uniden both manufacture their own brands of scanners.

Radio Shack carries both manufacturers.

Nothin wrong with Uniden radio's, good units, especially if you dont want to sink alot of money into a unit.

I use both CB and Marine VHF Uniden units and they perform good for what I need and have been reliable. Cobra makes a good unit too.

If ICOM made CB's,, I'd be the first inline as I love their VHF Marine unit's..
