:lol: That's about what I did, first off is knowing what's used in your area. P25 is common around here so I ended up going up a few rungs with my last scanner, and because digital programming is so complex I opted for some computer control software that downloads the info and lets me organize it easily, then the remote head so the scanner can go in the glovebox and the remote will fit in a location that looks factory, and don't forget the thru glass antenna that gets better signal than anything I've ever used.Quote:

Turns out to be a small fortune I've spread over time, final install once things warm up this spring. But between the scanner CB V1 and GPS all installed with a factory level cleaness look road trips are very relaxing and quite fun, no stress about accidents/traffic/speed traps/getting lost/finding fuel,food,lodging,etc.
