I would flip the heads your bubbles on the outside will give you better reception and in turn jamming capability on the outside
Chrome isn't that reflective to InfaRed light so it really isn't a big issue that you might think it is
Licence plates are far more reflective

Well it all depends on what you are willing to spend. Alot of benefit comes from a good Antenna and Wilson makes the best. I use a Wilson 500 mag mount the only antenna's better are the Wilson 1000...
