I bet the display on the 695SE will grow on you. I hated the display on my 695 when I first recieved it but really like it now. The 693SE has a red display and is easier to see in daylight.

It's because of Whistlers filtering and is working as it should. You don't want your detector going off at every automatic door you pass.

I have been wanting to do more testing with Whistlers also but am left handed. Could you please have your team make a left handed radar detector? It is really inconvenient having the wheel\power...

LOL...me too. Another thing I noticed with the 693SE is less KA falsing than the 78SE. I thought it was greater at first but that wasn't the case. I am extremely happy with my $150.00 purchase. :)

Yes, the 693SE is sold at Wal-Mart. It is their version of the 690SE and comes with a dash pad and direct wire kit for $150.00.

No, it's a red display. Something definitely changed with the 693SE on K band.

They should all be similar in performance since they are based on the same platform. I will say that my 693SE performs way better on K band than my 78SE. It should be similar but isn't...not sure...
