Just a FYI, a regular phone cable will not work, you have to "flop/reverse" the connector on one end, so you have to have a phone-plug splicer tool to add a new plug.

Just ordered the V2, and planning not to hack this one as I think the BT to phone & my Kenwood DMX958XR will be enough not to mess with a CD & RAA. Has anyone else found this to be the case?
Not so "hacked-looking" when installed, all you see is the remote control knob and thin CD (as on the photos) ... the speaker and RAA are installed out of sight. Works like a charm ...
I just know that my V1 has always awakened me as to ANY LEO lying ahead. 5 years with no TKTS. Singing that song like Speedy1!
My previous posts covered this so search those out ...
Since I already had the hacked CD from my '04 C5, it didn't make sense to scrap that. I considered the DashTronix of course (they even configured one for me that would piggy back the WindowValet &...
That is RadarMirror's, but I added some hot glue and tape to it. My hacked one was pretty much the same, hot glue keeping stress off the PSB connects ...
Must say it is an awesome separation of sections, and super having the full control on the center console ...
I posted this install on Corvette Forum, as part of a huge sound-deadening and stereo upgrade project I just finished <CLICK HERE>:
I had originally hacked my own RAA (control knob & speaker...
WAIT? For what, more to come in another 15 years? Sorry, but Savvy is VERY underwhelming ...
Meh ... I was expecting more. My OBDII port is already being used. Oh well ... I'm used to V1 upgrade disappointment ...
Well if it plugs into the OBD, then it obviously will be a DIC OR HUD display unit (like DashTronix.com), which is way cool - IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE A CD HACKED AND INSTALLED - as I do. But cool...
You obviously are "marketing-challenged," a V2 (or whatever they choose to call it) would be a gazillion $$ move, so why not do that? Bel and Escort screw their customers every quarter, at least...
Mine fried a few years ago due to the heat and I sent it in for a free fix. But man, it does get hot, grabbed it the other day and almost burnt my hand. I saw some where someone polished the black...
You likely have either 1) A regular 2 wire cord (need 4 wire) AND/OR 2) The contacts need to be flipped on one end, meaning you cannot use a standard phone cord (get a phone tap/splicing set). This...
It was just showing "1 bogey", right? He likely saw the E (laser) first, then when the laser was off it showed the bogey. It has been my experience that when laser is on the 3 dashes stay on - w/o a...
I completed the RAA Mute and Speaker wire-out mod, but have not installed it in the car yet, so will post the complete pix set once that is done. These are a few of the progress shots, mostly done as...

Just checking, but a Brand-new CD is just $39 directly from Valentine
I came out the back so the cable ran out of sight through & on top of my steering column, but you can easily lay the cable down to be flat to either side when soldering (likely flatter if it runs off...
Well no doubt you found a way to be VERY STEALTH on your install, and it's a very creative solution. When I did the mod this morning (photos), I just wiggled the legs and they all came off the board,...
Great mod CancerJCC, but you didn't need to use the whole case, and you could have just used the stock front display plate and clipped-on PCB (would have saved you a whole 1" of depth inside your...
Hey Solidjake,
I did my soldering this morning, and it worked (couple of pix attached, but will post the whole 36-pix mod later). You should be able to go in and correct the solder prob, but likely...
Good points Yamaha1, but what's behind you USUALLY only matters after you fail to detect what is in front of you, and the RV won't help you there. And GPS vs. speedo? GPS is only accurate to the...
A great mod for sure and glad it works for you. Here's what you should do: 1) Sit in your car at a typical driving posture. 2) Look over the dash, windshield and front areas. 3) Where would be the...
