Ya, sad but true. BMW had a run of models for a while that were doing the same thing. With any luck my Mk V will be worry free in that regard. My old VW's never had a problem with shorts.

Yes, ford had issues with their steering columns and ignition switches. VW, Audi and BMW had issues at one time with fires. Actually I think many manufactures did. My Toyota cut all the wires...
Unless while you've been at work, it has caught fire in the garage and burned down the house too
No, that would be a BMW :)
VW/Audi (Volkswagen Audio Group..aka VAG) rocks. I've owned both and will continue to. Volkswagen also owns Lamborghini.
You guys need to look at some of the high end Mercedes sports cars...
I think overall street racing is a bad idea. You never know when something is going to change that causes you to have to react. You can only hope you have the time and space.
That being said...
ok, got a few quick pics. Not great ones...but they'll do for now.

Well, I just traded in my 06 Rabbit with 2k miles on it for an 07 GTI FSI Turbo with 6 speed DSG.
OMG, it's sooo sweet. I got the candy white 2 dr with sunroof. I didn't go from fancy...
Ya, didn't they just come out with the 4 dr GTI ? I'm not at all unhappy with the Rabbit, wouldn't mind a bit more power...but the torque on the low end is a lot of fun. The suspension could be...
I think the GTI could do 160 +. The drag coefficient is 0.32, I've had my Mk V Rabbit up to 110 at around 3500 rpms and that was the wife driving. It was so effortless. The drag is so...
I just got rid of my convertible, but if I were to get another one it would be either a BMW, Mercedes, Audi TT or the VW EOS.

Off topic at this point, but I just had to laugh my A$$ off today. I saw a new Hyundai with one of those pop can mufflers trying to act aggressive. It was funny. It just made a...
I'm still waiting for a good turbo kit for my Inline 5 Bunny. It has 170 ft lbs of torque now so the turbo would be a nice addition. Also 9.5:1 compression...so room to move up.
Wow this could get ugly.
Let's face it, no matter what you buy it can have problems. Our Nissan truck has been spot on perfect with 72k miles on it. Our Fords have all had problems that were...
Well the new Rabbit we've had up to 110 in 5th gear with another gear to go, it felt like we were going 40. It was about 3500 RPM's. The drag coefficient is 0.32, so I suspect it might do what...
My new VW came with a sticker on the windshield for some product called Autoguard. I've never used it or seen it anywhere.
I assume it's the stuff on this website

If it's only been a day or two, call the dealer and complain, "Hey you sold me a car with scratched rims!"
Ha, I wish.
I actually opted to spend my cash on a Ross-tech VAGCOM...
After hearing the feedback from the people on this forum and also friends, I've opted to not replace the rim. I figure it will only get trashed in time no matter what. Might as well save some...
There is what looks like an E or maybe a 3 in the center.
Ya, two days old and rim already trashed. They are without a doubt after market put on by the dealer. I'll see if I can get the name out of them.
I don't think my wife will ever park it next...
The wife had a little parking accident.

I'll post this again under a new topic, but can anyone ID who makes these?

Dohhh!!!, slapping self in head for posting something so silly.
The wife doesn't drive a stick. The tiptronic at least gives some advantages over a normal auto.
Well I got a new toy today, so I thought I would share.
