I am useing a v1.7 no major update just yet. not worth cost to me in my opion to upgarde.I have also used a v1.8 which is does have a little more range but really what i love about the v1,7 no ka...

some what.but very little you cant tell in real world.I have my v1 on my visor best place for me i also think the v1 has the best detection there :wink:

you should know all the answers being a long time member here :) .once you try the v1 you will like it.you will drop the x50 :lol:

you cant use both radardetectors on at the same time will you can but v1 or sti might miss an alert :shock:

I drive in little l mode but most of the driveing i drive in big L mode just like alexroy :lol:

A.Mount the v1 high the v1 does best up there trust me try both if you want but in the end high mount wins hands down :wink:

If you really want one a v1 3.813 then i can get you one but price will be $550 buddy :roll: and i am for real :)

most truckers will give an alert over the cb radio that there is a cop head off you.

wow reading this post makes me think.i use to own a rev 5 x50 and that radar detector eats up 35.5 ka band. allways had very good detection.

you want a cheapo that works ok not the best but decent. a whislter 1730 or any whistler from walmar they are the best budget price radar detectors :lol: :wink:
