Hey guys, does anyone know why my zr3 keeps alarming from the rear shifters? Is it really picking up a laser or what?
It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen, and i don't know if somehting is wrong?
Thanks for help.
Many things cause laser falses. Chief among these is this:
These have a laser cruise control system (LCC) that can set off jammers. Other cars may also have a LCC so if you find yourself getting a constant rear laser alert, check to see if one of these is behind you, switch lanes or let them pass you, and see if you still get an alert.
BTW Any saves yet?
But sometimes there's nothing behind me. It even happens sometimes when im just revving the engine???? I hope it's defective, i dont' wanna go through any costumer service refund proceedure. And most of all, i don't wanna take the bike appart again..
Could it be voltage fluctuation problems??? The charging system on my bike is not as strong as cars......Sometimes, it will even drop below 13 volts, i think never below 12 though.
Well, no saves yet. I don't think there's much LEO around my area, probably due to the Olympic events going on here.
It could be a defective rear head then. What I would do is just unplug the rear head from the control box. That shouldn't require you to take your bike apart. You don't get any FRONT false laser alerts right?

You can send it in if you want. Your laser jammer system will still work properly without the rear laser shifter.
Here's a list of cars that have adaptive cruise control as an option as of 2009:
Acura: RLSome use laser, the more sophisticated systems tend to use radar since it penetrates better in low visibility situations (e.g., snow and fog).
Audi: A4, A5/S5, A6, A8/S8, Q5, Q7
Bentley: Continental
BMW: 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series
Cadillac: DTS, STS, XLR
Chrysler: 300C
Hyundai: Genesis
Infiniti: EX35, FX35/FX50, M35/M45, QX56
Jaguar: XF, XK, XJ
Lincoln: MKS
Lexus: ES, IS/IS F, GS, LS, LX, RX
Mercedes-Benz: CL-Class, CLS-Class, GL-Class, S-Class, SL-Class
Toyota: Avalon, Sequoia
Volvo: S40, V70, XC70
