    Default Pontiac G8 Valentine 1 Blendmound / Invisicord Integration

    Just set this up last night in the G8 I got last week. Took about 10 minutes to install, adjust it and zip tie the power cord neatly. I know in the pictures it seems to point up at the sky a bit, but it's perfectly level with the road.

    Products I used were the "BV1-2001" blend mount and the "S01PL" invisicord with the 12" cord ($1.00 more) in case anyone else wants this on their G8.

    Looks good, I've never seen another v1 user in Houston, mostly crappy cobra

    I love that car. The wife and I rented one in FL 2 years ago. Scary fast.

    Congrads on the V1. I just put 1200 miles on a new redline (VA routes) and while it is a neat device, the old V1 is still the champ in my book.

    I've been using my V1 for a while. Mostly showing off my new mount and install in the new ride :-D. Only complaints I have about the V1 are build quality related. It's only two years old and it's not in the best shape, it just hangs in the car and doesn't get handled, but it fell apart on it's own. The top of the case doesn't sit flush, you can push on it and it will click back together momentarily, and the cord needs some tension on it or the RJ-11 connector doesn't provide power (it needs to be held in by tension.) Really sad considering it never leaves the car or gets psychically handled. Even the **** cobras have better build quality. Performance is awesome though, you can't beat the speed of the signal pickup it has, you can't out burst it. I guess I should have it upgraded/serviced or just say **** it and buy a new one to replace the 2 year old one.

    Man, don't get the redline then or you will be really unhappy with the factory mount. The unit is heavy and loosey goosey with the narrow dual cups.

    For the RJ cord...try to bend the tab up slightly.

    Look's great I don't like v1's tho ...I'd get a red line for the spec mode something a V1 can't do

    @Indontgo55,

    I played around with my buddy's redline and I wasn't too impressed. He does mistreat his toys, so it's possible he damaged or overheated it somehow, but it didn't seem that responsive and I was getting better detection range on real police Ka threats, which I didn't think was possible since Redline is supposed to be much better at Ka.

    From another G8 owner, nice install! I like the concept of wiring it to the RVM. I routed my telephone cable around the windshield down the A pillar, down behind the dash down to the fuse box and then over to a concealed display on the instrument panel. I had to take the dash apart to complete the install. Time consuming to say the least!
