Looking for internal pics of V1 b4 pop.

I want to compare the V1 before pop's circuit board with the current one 3.818. I saw internal picture of the V1 on the net around 3 years ago. Does anyone have them. I want to see if they just re-flash new software to the circuit board, or put a new one in. There must be someone else that takes their electronics apart than just me.

Here's some pictures I took of it. I edited out the bar codes so Mike Valentine won't void my warentee and future upgrades.

I found it strangs that there was a resistor glued inside the front lens by the radar antenna, but I'm not a radar engineer, just a EE.

The V1 consists of seven printed circuit boards:

1. A main board with the logic functions, switches, and connectors
2. A laser board with six individual laser detectors
3. + 4. Two waveguide boards mounted back-to-back onto the waveguide
5. + 6. Two boards placed into separate shielded compartments of the waveguide
7. A counter board with LED display

If anyone happens to take apart their V1, carefully peel off the "VRI" sticker from the micro and take a picture, or note all of the numbers off the top. I would like to know what kind of micro is being used in the V1. I suspect it is Motorola, but would like to know what family...

In front of the front horn, there's a circle with a resistor glued to it.

ut oh! don't let Mike V find out you did this! I hope you were very careful with the screws and didn't damage them whatsoever...!!

He only mentions if you tamper with the serial number, he won't update it. Nothing says you can't open it

Oh, so thats on the inside? Because I notinced on the outside in a similar place a small circular what I thought to be a scuff. I guess it's related to this. Also, VR told me scratches on the lens won't affect laser or radar detection. How can that be?
