They are awesome RD's. To my understanding, their performance are very similar or the same as the RX65 which I have been running with for three years now. But, don't get over confident with it or any other countermeasure. You absolutely must use one of your best countermeasures which are your eyes! Since you're on this board, which is a big plus, you probably already know that. Take care, be safe.
Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

-V1 3.872 (1.3 Mi. C/O Ka pointed away from me. 3.6 Mi. C/O K)-Bel RX65 New Backup (4.1 Mi. C/O Ka 35.494 Ghz, light traffic) -Laser Interceptor Gen-8 Dual (No saves yet ) -Bel 980. -Galaxy DX 959 with a peak and tune.
-Wilson Lil' Wil antennae. -Whistler 1585. -Whistler 1430. -Passort 3200 w/ 1000 laser detector (got stolen, bought one off ebay for nostalga).
-Cobra Trapshooter RD-31XX? (Can't remember silver/teardrop shape X, K only). -Cobra Trapshooter RD-3110 (my first RD in 1987, when Cobras were good, bought one off ebay for nostalga new in the box). -Kustom HAWK. -Kustom Falcon cordless K Band. -Kustom Talon.

At night, realistically, your field of vision is only the few degrees to the side and the few hundred feet ahead of your car that your headlights illuminate. The cop, however, just has to aim for your headlights, which are helpfully visible the whole way to the horizon.

I/O is difficult enough to deal with in the daytime; at night you're only lucky if you can beat it without getting an alert first. I did it exactly one time, and that was because the cop was in a parking lot that had lights.

IO at night is a killer. I have been able to beat it when traveling on a road with at least 1 car in front of me about 1/2 - 3/4 mile or so. I have also been nailed with IO at night being the only car on the road at 2am. I did get let off, but I was lucky. I don't know if he saw that I really was just tired after getting in late from a delayed flight and trying to get home to go to bed and be up by 6 to go to work, or if he was playing the game with me and knew that I knew he was hiding there because when I came around the curve and my Ka went full on, I dimmed my lights out of courtesy. Either way, it was a lucky break for me, and a reminder that IO at night is deadly, especially if you're the only car on the road. The x50 is a fine detector, I've used one, but it doesn't matter what detector you use, if you don't keep your wits about you, any detector can be rendered useless, and not necessarily by the fact that it won't alert you.

Any RD can miss a QT shot. Here are some examples:

It is a decent detector, but there are far better ones out there.
