I would say either Amazon (direct would be ok), BestBuy or Newegg. They are basically the same price everywhere, but sometimes a store will offer a decent bundle. I would keep an eye out on either slick deals or dealspl.us (site like slick deals)

I agree with the above people. I must ask though, have you personally played PS3 online? If not, I'd highly suggest it; compared to Xbox Live, it is absolutely horrible. There is a legit reason for Xbox Live costing money.

^ I'm actually tired of xbox live. Had it for 3 years. When it expires next June I'm done.

I have both and buy all my games for the 360 for this reason. I just buy the live cards when they are on sale. I played a few games online with the PS3 and it just doesn't compare.

The cheapest I found for a new slim model is about $270. $300 original price and some places have a 10% coupon like Sears. The best deals are promotions or just lie to a rep. I walked into Sony Style and told them ToysRus had a sale of a free extra controller + game promotion with a PS3 purchase and sony gave me the deal. They never called to verify. Maybe ToysRus did have a sale since I purchased it around black friday last year.
