3.856 E message

I bought a 3.856 3 weeks ago and I already got e message 3 TIMES. .I will wait.And if this happened again its going back to V1 to repair and then on Ebay.

So the E message is because the unit is getting over heated? How hot was it in Chicago when you got your E.

I have left my 3.851 up in the sun(before it got cold up here ), and I have never seen an E. Once it got so hot I could barly hold it, it was seriously burning me. But as soon as I plugged it in it worked like it alwaise had.

If you've only had it 3 weeks - why not Return it. You get 30 day test drive. Just send it back and tell them you want your money back.

i havent taken my v1 out of my car since i got it

its mounted very high now and you cant see it from outside and its in the lumina so i am not worried about thieves

no e message yet... and i live in texas.

It wasn't hot in Chicago because almost all the time its happened at night. I don't want to return it because on ebay I can get for it like $350.

I thought the 3.856 was not more than a week old. I know that when I bought my detector directly from VR about 3 weeks ago, it was version 3.852. I had a problem with Ka reception and had it looked at and received it back as a version 3.856 yesterday.

Anyone care to comment as to when the revisions actually came out?

According to VR, you are supposed to send in your V1 if it gets even 1 "E" error. :!:
