    Default 3.826 - Rock Solid

With all the negativity going around about the "E" errors on the new versions and from other Belscort owners, I thought I would share that my V1 (3.826) has been pretty rock solid.

I get great K band range and I love the K band muting feature. I also like that the V1 auto-dims depending on the ambient light, and that you can adjust the muted volume as well as the main volume.

I have never J'd out a real LEO, and in fact now that I have had POP disabled I hardly get Js at all. I drive near cars with Cobras all the time, and I don't get a peep out of the V1.

My only complaints are mediocre Ka range in the front antenna, great Ka range from the rear antenna and the occasional Ka false.

I feel bad for those who upgraded or sold their 3.826 for a 3.851 or higher. The 3.826 for most people has been rock solid. Hopefully VR will work out all the bugs with the new versions.

For those Belscort owners who think the RX65 and X50 have better filtering, I have used both and the V1 is actually quieter than the Belscorts with the K band muting enabled.

most of the complaints come from the v1 owners who upgraded and now are pissed off at detection range, "E" etc. :?

Im confused, with K band mute set on the V1, will it stil show a Kband signal? or is it completely silent and dark until the alert hits 4bars (or whatever level it alerts at)? because that would be cool, and better as long as you could still see the alert just not hear it.
It scares the crap outta me when I pass a CVS or walgreens with a K-band opener the beam is really narrow and pretty powerful so it usually jumps to like a 3bar alert or higher all of a sudden when you are right out front.

    Its your choice

Logic Mode (little l) = weak K band alerts will display and at the muted volume until it breaks the threshold you set.

Advanced Logic Mode (Big L) - weak K band alerts will not display or be heard until it breaks the threshold you set.

Personally, I like seeing them but not hearing them until they are decently strong - hence I run Logic Mode. It is great for the city, but for the highway I switch to All Bogeys mode.
