    Hello everyone,

First time posting here. Have had a V1 now for about 2 months now and will be taken a road trip from GA to NY tomorrow? I know I read somewhere that one of the Virginia`s do not let you use radar`s. Can someone tell me the one it is? And any other tips on the detector would be appreciated

    Thanks

    B

VA does have a law against RDs. They have signs stating this on the interstates at the state lines. I understand that the fine is $90. They may or may not confiscate your RD. If it is taken it will be returned to you after you pay the fine. You are considered guilty if the RD and its power cord is able to be accessed by the passengers in the car. I used to put mine in the glove compartment when entering VA, next time I will probably go to the welcome center and put it in the trunk.

on the trip i would keep all bands active and run it in "A" mode.. As for VA how about dont get caught speeding and IF YOU STOP IN VA MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE V1 DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would still use it in VA and take my chances, or just buy a Crapra before you go and use that and if you get caught with the RD use that one(crapra) and give that to the cop if they confiscate it so they wont touch your V1

that makes no sense to me, Use a Cobra that is detectable from near a mile away with an RDD (and even another detector) or use a Valentine that is only detectable within 160 feet?
    Hmmm,

poor performance but broadcasting the LO all over the world in a banned area. Or a decent detector that might actually save you? from a ticket?

Instead of actually usng the cobra in a banned area, or just tape $90.00 to the roof of your car, at least you wont be detained then!!

I think bear means only run the V1 but if he gets caught have like a cobra under the seat that u swap with the V1 so they take the cobra, not the V1
