Mine will false X on A mode when im on a cellphone.
I have 3.824 and Verizon CDMA cell phone with no issues.
Over many years of using the V1 and Cingular/ATT Wireless phones, I think I only recall one time where I got a weak alert while using my phone. It hasn't happened in a long time, and I always take my phone (Moto Razr V3) with me in the car. Sometimes when I know I'm going to make or take a call in the car, I use my Bluetooth headset as well. No problems.
When I drove cross country, I had my Bluetooth GPS up on the dash talking to my iPaq. Both were inches away from the V1 and no problems.

 Bluetooth, GSM triband and 3G does nuthin for my V1. Reckon there's sumfing wrong with ya unit.
I use Verizon (LG) and Nextel (Motorola) no problems but I have X off.
When I turn X on my garage door opener will set it off.
I found the best remote control to test laser with is an X box DVD remote

Falses from cell phones are from the phone itself, not the service provider. I have used sprint forever. I have had Samsung and LG Phones set my V1 off. However Nokia and Sanyo do not.
I've had nextel (motorola phones) and they have never made any of my detectors false.
