    Default Valentine Research Done it again!

    Well well well. My buddy just bought a V1 and had it overnight from VR and got it within just a few hours ago. He promptly brought his V1 over and show it to me.

    When I check the version and guess what.

    Version 3.862

    I just send my V1 in for a checkup and hopefully mine will be back with the V3.862!

    I wonder what all did the version change. More software tweaks?

    We believe you and thanks for showing us further.

    I am guessing it fixes the X band / POP issue. I am hoping it does at least.

    Im so glad I got my V1 before VR started all this BS with rev/QC issues...


    Then again, mine is out of tune a lot...



    Anyways, thanks for the proof please let us know how this rev. performs.

    If I call VR, do you think they'll tell me whether this fixes the POP-on/X-off issue? Or do they just say "It's a performance upgrade"?

    I hate to be without my V1 while I wait for shipping, but I'd like that error fixed.

    Well sometimes you need a smarta$$ remark, to answer a dumba$$ question. :wink:


    Why ask us what we think (in theory) VR would say if you called them, when you could just call VR, and find out what they actually would say? Especially since your curious if this would fix the problem(s) with the V1 you have?


    Even though it doesn't apply to me in any way, shape, or form... I still am curious to see who says what about this at VR, and about their recent downfall in QC, and their upswing of firmware glitches.

    For all I knew, VR might have a policy of not telling people about that kind of thing, making any calls to tha effect a waste of time. Thanks for the help :roll:

    Anyway, VR says that 3.862 is not a fix for that problem and isn't even a perfrmance upgrade. They still must be working on it because she wanted me to send my unit in. I'll think about it, but I'm not sure if I want to lose my unit for a while when I'm probably not going to get it back fixed (that will probably be ANOTHER trip back to Ohio) and the issue isn't a major problem anyway.
