Default you V1 people are infecting me with your virus

I have had a v995 for a year which I like, but man all this talk and tests really make me want a V1, I have a need to know where the leo's are even when im not speeding.

Should I splurge and get a v1 or am i waisting my time and money is it a worthwhile upgrade?

Wouldn't leave home without my V1, defo worthwhile to upgrade, if their is a threat you NEED to know where it is.

No hesitation, its a no brainer!

To be honest, when I went to the V1, I was expecting this thing to pick up CVS from half a mile away. On K-band, it only seems a tad more sensitive than my S7 V995. It's nice to have the arrows, but the bogey counter can be inaccurate in an area with multiple K-band doors (bogey count varies every time I've gone through an area). I'd stick with the v995. It offers ~85% of the protection at about half the cost (well...quarter of the cost for me ).

not as long you keep coming back here and read. you will never feel ok with your detector unless it's a V1.

yeah the boggy counter can get out of control near malls .

but two weeks ago it actually saVed me , i was in a road with 2 speed signs.
one for each direction. and suddenly i saw 3 on the counter .i slowed down. the LEO was hiding behind one of the signs . with the X50 i would get max two alerts for K and no more.... but this is Very specific case. i still think that the X50 i had for $270 is probably better Value. for the V1 i had to add Audio module ...that is getting expensiVe ..

    Hello,

Different readings on the V1 counter. Radar reflects off metal objects, so it would be a reflection off some surface. Giving you more readings then the total of none-LEO signals. I notice a variance in count when I go by a bunch of openers. Sometimes a large car or truck can block the signal also.

Over all, the V1 has nice range, has both front and rear horns. (which it makes it a bit more 'chatty' then detectors of single front facing horns.)

    Take care,

I was in your same position less than a year ago. I had a 2 month old v995 when I stumbled upon this forum. I tried the V1 for the free 30-day trial thinking I'd send it back after I figured out what all the hype was about. It's been ~5 month.. It's an awesome rd. I'd go for it. The v995 makes a great backup.
