    Default Problem with radar detection

    Hi, guys.

Having a prob with my V1, it isn't picking radar up at all on any band though it still picks up laser. When I power up my V1 it goes through its routine just fine, I can see I have ku enabled and that x is off and the audio sounds fine.

I've been to the local shopping estate and tried to trigger radar detection with both my hardwire install and then through the cigarette lighter adapter, zippo, not picking radar up at all.

Being in the UK makes it difficult to send back to V1 so I'm hoping someone may know a fix otherwise up the proverbial creek without a paddle .

You have a problem then, maybe someone here can help you send it in.

is this recent and all in the same car? i know it sounds stupid, but if it's not all in the same car, some cars have that window where it prevents radar comin through, one of our cars has some kind of windshield where it cuts down radar perfromance by 80 percent

    Hi

Yes, its recent but the car doesn't have the windscreen type you're thinking about [heat reflective!?]. The install worked fine for a couple of weeks and then I went on a trip where I detect a lot of bogies all within a mile and everything was quiet.

I have just written to VR pleading for assistance, dunno if I'll get a reply or not. For the time being I'll hold for a couple of days to see if they get back to me.

Set everything back to factory settings, then try it again.

You might have jagged the programming to the point of having more bands disabled then you think you do.

Doesn't the EU mode disable some bands too?

    Cheers, thats an idea.

I'll give the reset a shot, nothing much to lose at this point as I haven't heard nothing from VR as yet.
