So I finally ordered my first V1 today, and I've been reading some threads about remotes and testing V1's. At the same time I will be hardwiring the V1, I will also be installing a new XM Commander MT unit, which has a remote. Will this set off the V1 everytime I use it to change a channel?

It might if it is an IR remote. This is what my TV remote does to my V1. YouTube - V1 custom thin remote display

usually designers have enough sense not to make an IR remote for use in a car. usually they are RF but who knows
