Should I get V1 or keep RX65?
I'm thinking about selling my RX65 to my parents for like 150 and then buying a refurb V1. So I'll be paying around $210 for the V1 unit. Most of Orange county is laser so I guess this could help for laser scatter which will probably never happen. But most of Orange County is becoming laser and only some KA band is used. Is it worth spending the money on the V1 or do you think it will all LEO will use LIDAR in orange county very soon?

Yea, I convinced my parents to buy it off me cause they always want to bring it on trips. So it's good that it will be staying in the family cause I can use it for a backup and stuff. I have a feeling it's going to be weird getting used to the V1 compared to RX65. How is the distance compared to your RX65. I've read the GOL reports but want to hear from some people.

I rocked a V995 for awhile and it was nice, but the V1 has much better range.
To order a refurb V1 I just call up and ask them to get in line? How long does it usually take to get one?

I think you should keep the Rx65 and get a jammer since you are concerned about laser anyway. Tell the folks to get a 940, since chances are they don't need the features of the RX65. Even if jammers are illegal in CA, if orange county CA, not NY is where you are. Chances are getting caught with a jammer is slim, long as you shut it down after getting tagged.
Yea, I was thinking about getting a jammer, but I don't want to risk having getting it confiscated and a ticket and be out $500 or so. >.<
