after i mute my v1 to an alert, even after i pas the cop and the alert fades out, and another comes up the v1 stays muted and i get no audible alert to the target.
is it a setting that makes it stay muted or is it just the way the v1 works.

Uhhhhh... I never had that happen, how long of a gap was there between detections? I've never muted a Ka alert, only k after 30 sec, I just let it scream.
If you press the mute button twice in a row this will mute the new radars (bogeys) in X,K and Ka. One press means mute but will still alert you to new bogeys with a short beep or brap. I think it needs a space of 10 seconds or so before the mute feature resets back to the main knob volume control setting. If this isn't your problem check this i
Valentine One Specifications.
hope it helps![]()
Once you enter mute mode, the V1 will ONLY sound a DEET-DEET + ONE tone of the new alert for each new incoming alert; until the V1 is silent for about 5 seconds or so, at which point mute mode is exited.... There is no way from the UI to forcibly exit mute mode, so you should keep an ear open for the bogey lock tone whenever you use mute.
im not sure if i ever noticed the lock tone in this situation. im pretty sure i can mute an alert and then it will go away for a few seconds(im pretty sure more then 5-10) and then a new alert will come in but with no sound. ill have to pay attention today and find out for sure.
If you press the mute button once, you should still get lock tones; if you press it twice, all tones are muted.
I don't think xxbillay is talking about a lock tone issue,
it is a reset time issue, here is the deal,
ghz1 has the correct reset time, If you loose a signal while the V1 is muted (manually or auto) the reset time is ten seconds.
In other words if a signal is muted manually in (A) mode and you loose the signal, if it comes back within nine seconds the signal will stay muted.
If you mute a signal that has broken through the K band automute mode then you loose the signal,
if the signal comes back within nine seconds your selected time threshold does not start over.
There are three ways to bring back regular volume.
Cycle through modes until you end up at (A) mode again.
Cycle the power for a reboot.
The quickest way is turning up the muted volume lever.

thats is exactly it right here, thank you.
but is there a setting i can change to mae that time less then 10 seconds? i like on my x50 that even if i muted an alert and it went away, the next one instantly came through with sound.
and when yo say the quickest way is to turn the muted volume level lever...do you mean leave it all the way up, or that if i move it a little bit it will cancel them ute effect?
but again thank you for your help.
There is no way to change the reset time.
Even a new band threat will bogy lock with a new tone then stay muted.
If nothing is done by you no regular volume will reappear until all signals are lost for 10-sec.
I keep my muted volume lever all the way down and if I need to bring back regular volume fast I crank up the muted lever.
ok so i just drove past a hospital where i get 4 k alerts at the same time. i muted it right away at the first k, and i never got a bogey lock tone for any of the others, the number just went up. is this right?
