It seems that an E.E. or other technician with some experience could remove that circuit from the board, or rebuild it on a new PCB and run something like an RJ45 or RJ11 cable to the remotely located V1 main board.

As for your idea about a parabolic dish or other large horn, I'm not sure if that would work. I've done some reading with regards to horn design for sound, and they have very specialized formulas for determining mouth opening, horn shape, etc. based on the frequency you want to reinforce, etc. So, I'm not sure if just any old "horn" would do anything other than make it directional.

Btw, I think the V1 uses a tractix design.

Inside the V1, there is a main processor board that is separated from a receiver board with a molex type of connector. Although you could separate those two, resulting in the processor board becoming a very crude remote display of sorts, separating any portion of the receiver board from the rest of it would prove to be too difficult to be practical.

The V1 uses microstrip technology on the receiver board to transmit the signal from one section of the circuit to the next without any loss. The size and spacing of the traces on the board actually compose part of the circuit. The mechanical design of the receiver section is just as important as the components used. There's no practical way to separate a significant part of this board off of another part.

I still say the best way to accomplish the goal would be to mount the whole unit remotely and use the remote display.
