V1, ST Driver and 9500i

I ended up selling my wife's 9500i yesterday and went with a STI Driver. I did have a chance to drive with the other two units.
I like the STI Driver just a few seconds behind the V1 solid build as well as being stealth.
Between the three units sensitivity wise on K, KA bands (X band is disabled) the V1 leads the pack followed by the STI Driver then the 9500i.

The V1 just rocks at what it designed for pure unadulterated sensitivity, threat awareness a rock solid performer. I have had mine for I guess for three months 3.864 I would not trade it for anything out there although the STI Driver is one sweet detector.
City I use small l with the 30 second mute and unlock on four led's. Highway always "A".

Why do they use the spectre if RD's are legal in TX?

Good thing I have a V1 that is detected within 400FT instead of 1000FT.

Not sure if it would really matter because you won't know that your bieng detected. It would be cool if someone was able to design a unit that was able to let you know when spectre was in range or detecting you.

Yep. I've been a victim of it several times when using only Mazda 3 in the last year so that vehicle is not that profiled as most. I wasn't even speeding in any of the incidents and they pop with their Stalker Ka because I'm absolutely sure they were using it (Spectre) and plus and they were looking around and pointing at my car to show their fellow officers in the car. I had cars fly by me and they didn't get hit but they hit me instead when I wasn't speeding and also on the right lane. I don't understand but it should be "Ticket is a Ticket".

I'm still going to use V1 anyway because I love the sensitivity on it, that's all despite TX DPS using Spectre.

I got a Ka ticket near El Paso once, back in the early days of Ka. My V1 back then didn't give me much warning.
