Mounting V1 in a Porsche Boxster?

I have researched and found several people who have installed a Valentine One (V1) radar detector in a stealth box mounted to the bar behind the seats, but I was wondering if anyone has installed a V1 within the rear shelf storage box (behind the sliding "doors)". Of course, using the remote display and audio adapters. Any comments?

it´s Uusikaupunki and it´s located in the west coast of Finland. Most of the Boxsters are made in there.

I can't imagine why there would be any issues with installing a V1 on the rear shelf of a Boxter as long as the following conditions are met:

1) Nothing metallic obstructing the view of the front antenna.
2) Nothing metallic obstructing the view of the rear antenna
3) If you want any chance of laser detection, the front antenna must be exposed through some kind of cut-out so that the laser sensor can see.

I think that's all there is to it. I did it in my last car (Volvo) with pretty good results.

It was established in 1617 so it ain´t very new ....
