Me again guys, what's the difference of the two? (3.825-3.826)
The 825 does double bogey more often than the 826 specially with 34.7. Performance wise, I can't tell no difference. Bogey counter with any V1 will always ghost anyway.
I really don't agree Knighthawk. The .825 would J out real cop's when detecting a real cop and a junk detector at the same time. The bogey counter can ghost on the V1 it's case dependent, not that's how they make them. So the .826 is a solid firmware that's all no more or no less.

There was some version in the .82x range that had a bug that prevented the K band automute features from working. I don't recall if it was .825 or not, but if it was, .826 fixed it.

Sent it in to VR for the fix and VR change it to 826. I sold my 826 because of the "J"ust be alert issue.

When I was talking about the ghosting issue, I never had any V1 units that never ghost. The 826 was better than the 825 in this regard. All V1 units will ghost in one form or the other pre POP or POP units.
As far as "J" alerts with LEO, I was a green apple then and was hooked with my X50 and didn't care much about "J"ust be alert with LEO.
The K band automute problem was 3.824 as per software sticky.
3.825 actually had a K-Band bogey lock tone problem, if I remember correctly Sethy discovered this first and it would not lock tone in advanced logic mode?

Hi Dave long time no post in the forum? The .824 would also turn strong K alerts into Ka alerts think the post POP detectors really gave VR a real headache. Oh BTW it was me that found the lock tone problem. If you all so recall Sethy hated the V1 at the time and even coined "Zombie" which of course was a reference to me also. Your welcome team
Steve, you are so right, memory fails me, ya can't forget Sethy's first V1 sent back after 2 days, such patience, sorry Sethy.
He got married and now he hardly every post. Reckon he runs a V1 now as well. I remember when I first found this forum my post were shocking to say the lest (sorry) I had a really bad run with Bell I just hated them to bits. So I was/am so pro V1 that it really got up Sethy's goat so he really hated me and poor old VR. In hie sight VR where so far ahead of the game in the day its not funny and I/we where right
