I realize that this is probably going to sound like an incredibly stupid question, but have any of you out there happened to use the V1 while driving across Kansas or any of the other great plains states for that matter? I will be driving across country later on this year to visit some family and was contemplating purchasing a V1 (not solely for this trip obviously) for use on said trip. In case some of you don't know, even while having your cruise set at a steady 80 MPH it still feels as if you are creeeeeeeeping while driving across the state of Kansas (85 is just about right driving across Kansas in my opinion). So, I was just wondering if you all think that the V1 would be very effective at detecting the KHP's Ka band while making that mind-numbing 5-6 hour drive across that state? I currently own an Escort 8500x50 and I don't know if I would feel comfortable driving at 85 across KS with that detector. BTW, in case some of you don't know, the state of Kansas has an OFFICIAL speed tolerance of 10 MPH IF and only IF the posted speed limit is 55 MPH OR HIGHER.

you have to be careful with trulock, it's a tool and not foolproof. If you are going 20 over in areas that are locked out you are taking a risk.
