If 10 is the tolerance, then it sounds to me as if you should check your speedo for accuracy, set cruise at 82-83, unless you have a good rabbit to follow. With a rabbit or clear road bursts, 88 should be do-able. 90 and above will be very attractive to the revenuers. If you have zero traffic, that may be different.

While i haven't seen NE or SD do this, on occasion, IL SP will shoot laser from overpasses at distances (> 1 mile) that are *impossible* to see. The car will be hidden behind the overpasses' guard rail until you get close enough to see the pattern isn't symmetrical. I thought my V1 was malfunctioning. It was not.

The interesting thing is the Autobahn itself is very "bursty," even in the derestricted areas. Due to traffic, there's a lot more speed up and slow down that I'd have guessed.

No love for the V-1, Send it back and get comfy with your escort

With that one report, above, of KHP using a lot of instant-on, I'd definitely take care to use a rabbit for bait. Regardless of the RD you're using.

You don't want to be the lone vehicle on a long stretch of road, blissfully ignorant until "Ka - POW," instant burst of "gotcha!"

I have love for the V1, I took the risk and turned X band off recenlty and run with Big L around town. Reduced the chatter pretty well. Still trying to decide, but with all the features on the 9500 still leaning towards it. Going to keep testing for another week or so before I decide for sure....

Doesnt matter if your running a CI or V1 or STi or yata yata yata. They are patient and will sit in hold mode waiting for a big fish a long time. I have been told of them on the CB when I was 15 miles away and driven past without one blip from the rd. Sitting hidden in the median behind a pillar waiting to pull the trigger. A paitent LEO waiting to pull the trigger is deadly no matter what RD you have without a CB. All I am saying is Kansas State troopers and some of the Colorado State boys on I-70 east of Denver are very patient, whether hidden in the median or rolling.

It suprises me how many LEO's are using the I/O, QT technique. It seems like they could get plenty of speeders with C/O and save the hassle. Unless some of them just like targeting people with RD's?
