this is part of what it says:
"The main point of the vertical mount is to reduce false alarms significantly, and to be able to sense / detect those vertically polarized radar units more effectively what work with X, K, Ka,and Ku band and operate on low transmitting performance.

If the detector is mounted vertically, than we can reduced the number of false alarms significantly. When passing by supermarkets, fuel stations or any kind of automated doors you could have also experienced plenty of false alarms by your detector. "

is this something true or is just some random mount they are selling just to naive people??
I would say it's a scam to sell their bracket. You could try it yourself by hanging your V1 with the suction cups.
You’re not going to stop the annoying false alerts. It's a built in flaw and the only way they will be muted is if V1 would take some of the monies they get and put it back into research and development.

Until then I will stick with the 9500ix

Mount it how? On a side window? I can't conceive of a way to use the real windshield mount to do the same thing.

I can believe it reduces falses because it makes the detector less sensitive.

... Everything else fails use Duct Tape ... If it disturbs, angers, annoy, bothers you just replace it with a better RD.

Actually, most photoradars are horizontally polarized and our RDs use vertically polarized horns. Mounting a radar detector vertically effectively changes the polarity of the horn to horizontal.

    Confused yet?
