Upgrade cost.

I'm struggling to get a reply from VR to my emails. Can anyone tell me the approx cost to upgrade my version 3.824 to the latest spec?

I wouldn't bother to do an upgrade. You'd actually be further ahead to sell the 3.824 on eBay and then buy a new one. You can easily get 350-400 out of a V1 on eBay. It'll be much cheaper than an upgrade.

I would do that, but mine's dead on X and K bands. so I can't sell it in that condition. So I thought I'll get it repaired and upgraded.

I have the same problem with K and Ka. Sent to VR for repair and they returned it saying it passes their tests. It stills does not work and I won't sell it as is. It is version 3.826

My previous 'fat' V1 was a chatty little bugger. Then I turned off X and K bands when our cops stopped using them.
I turned them off when I received my current V1 too. Recently our cops got Redflex photo units running on 24.085Ghz, so I turned K back on - nothing, niente, nada, zilch. same with X band when I tried that.
