So I was bored and I decided to pull up the patents that valentine research has, and I found something interesting. In the patents, it talks about the detector having up to four antenna. I know that the current valentine only has two. The point raised in the patent is this. With the two antenna design, you have the left; right abiguity. That is... no way for the unit to distinguish wether the radar signal is coming from the left or the right.
If you were to have three or even four antennas, the ones on the sides would be placed at approximately 120 degrees froim the front antenna, thus allowing true directional location.
My question to you is this. Do you think that Valentine will come out with a detector with three or for antenna? Obviously they have thought about it because all of this is in there patent.
Thoughts?
