Laser addition meaning what? Are you referring to the Qi45 by Escort? Last thing I read is that they're not compatible.

I'm trying to say that since v1 is still tops as a radar detector ---

to improve my set up -- increased laser protection is my goal

but I was looking for an easy way out

do it yourself or ez install on the laser detection/jammer side

    thanks

    Simple:

    1) Buy a Blinder or Laser Interceptor,
    2) Install it yourself.

    There, DIY laser solution!

The trickiest parts are getting the heads square and level, and getting the wires through the firewall to the CPU unit under the dash.

If you've installed a car stereo you can do this too.

It's no harder than mounting a set of aftermarket fog lights or auxiliary driving lights.

It's not only fishing the wires, it's also doing a clean job on the switch install, wiring for power and ground and as mentioned above, aligning the heads.

If you're working with someone proficient who is helping you and you're taking your time to do a nice clean professional install, this can take about 6-7 with lunch etc.

You should be able to do it in about 2 hours if you plan ahead read the directions know your car and have all the tools on hand.

You can also choose carefully what you do when and break it up into a few shorter breaks of time.
