I have yet to have anyone of my friends complain about the noise my detector makes, they are more then happy to take the noise and go a decent speed then travel slowly

my buddy keeps his silent, the arrows alert you unless you have tunnel vision. i keep mine at full, always hear it with loud music, and i see it.

I keep mine silent unless I am driving aggressively; I can usually see it going off since i mounted it on the mirror post with a Blendmount.
i like the noise. it keeps me up at night
This is where a C100 or Speed Cheetah mirror comes into place. It integrates very well with the V1 and reduces false alerts.
I explain my passengers about some of the electronics and most of them find these devices pretty amazing and amusing.

My car, my rules.
you have no idea what PITA it is here. Everything falses them..
every traffic light has a proximity auto sensor. you can disable bands but guess what.. every jurisdiction runs different ones. some are still using 1980s units :\
every store has emitters too.. banks... you name it.
it is utterly useless in my area. it falses every 500 feet and then when the real deal comes it goes to mute because it already was falsing for a while from something else.
to me it is just a gimmick, i dont trust them to speed. that will land your car on a tow truck faster than you can impound it out.
but it is fun when you realize that state trooper in the median that scared your hair off your head was running front radar only when you crested over the hill and got a faint alert. then you pass him and blerp you light up like turkey in a microwave![]()
