Default Valentine software versions: 3.813 and 3.872

    Hello,

As the lucky owner of two Valentine Radar Detectors, I currently have two different software versions...3.813 (pre-Pop) and 3.872 (Pop).

I have made a decision to keep only one... Which is the better software version in your opinion?

I have noticed that the 3.813 has some pretty good reviews here on the forum. Is it of any higher value than the current software versions.

    Thanks

    Dave

I think Snoopy has both, or at least the 3.813 and maybe the 3.864. He'll chime in soon

V1 3.826 or below as i understand it. But i have the 3.872 and though its performance isn't always as good as my 9500ci it comes close most of the time.

I find it funny that for so long i was told the V1 had the best sensitivity, and now that i got one, im told Its an older model you cant get that's the one to have.

Sometimes mate... 'advancements' aren't always 100% positive... you of all people should know about this... you know with the flawless ramp-up of the S7 on all-bands going by the wayside to get the crud we now have in Belscort models... and that S7 stuff is the ramp-up to have, which you cannot get on Belscorts new (more expensive) RD's.

    PS... Owned.

Would you like my 3.812 for $500?

3.813 is gold. No wasted time used for smelling poop. All effort and quality components were used to sniff out conventional radar. VR obviously took cost cutting methods to implement stinky poop protection after 3.813, 3.815 to 3.826, and things got even worse with 3.851 and above, since digital bs was implemented.

That i definitely understand being an Escort fan.

Just seems like a CJR conspiracy that the V1 looses sensitivity when i buy it after being told it was so much better than my 9500's for so long.

Would you say the 3.872 with KA guard off is just as good if not better than the older versions?
