Congratulations to me! I just bought a Valentine!

I just had an "almost" run-in with the local police in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Damn they are bad!

I was cruising along doing about 30 and I saw him clocking me just ahead. If I had not been paying attention I surely would have continued accelerating.

They do this sh*t in a 20mph zone. It is awful!

Here is why it almost went down: I forgot. That is it. I am very familiar with the area and I simply forgot to watch my speed. The road is wide and so it is natural to go 35 to 45.

So, I bought a Valentine. I will soon be supplementing this with a Cheetah mirror next month to remind me when I am near their traps. Then LIs hopefully by Christmas.

So, congratulations to me! Oh happy day!

I know your pain, I'm from NC (not too far from your area) myself and know the great lengths the State/County go to for speed enforcement

Good on ya for getting a V1 it's a beast of an RD. Also Good on ya for thinking about LJ's. North Cackylacky throws everything at us when it comes to speed enforcement (as I'm sure your well aware) so make sure to keep your eyes "peeled" for that added CM situational awareness.

Excellent choice in the V1. I'm in & around the Sylva/Cullowhee area quite regularly for work, and the V1 is great at sniffing out the sometimes faint radar signals in the curves & hills. As others have already stated, maintain your situational awareness.
