    I have a question do you think this will work with escort auxiliary speaker??

    I hope so because that's what I plan to use!

    VR doesn't publish the specs for the remote audio unit and Escort doesn't publish the specs for the speaker. I'm just guessing that since the speaker is powered so it won't put much of a load on the remote audio unit.

    Cool pic. The parts count is higher than I thought it would be for a device that simply amplifies the audio signal from the V1. The complexity is probably due to the dual volume controls. The signal needs to pass through a switching circuit that selects which volume control (normal or muted) is active; this is controlled by a microcontroller (the chip that is labeled "audmode") which reads the V1's data stream to extract the "mute" bit.

    I've always thought VR should release a combination concealed display/remote audio adapter all in one.
