Several months back I ordered my 1st Valentine One (3.872). I joined this forum and found out a slew of information about the V1 and the fact that VR was releasing a new update (3.891) for my semi-new detector. Wanting the latest and greatest, I sent it back in to update it to the 3.891 version. Then after seeing how good the V1 looks with a color display I had my main unit converted knowing that it would void my warranty, but hey, I was willing to roll the dice anyway. Shortly after getting it back from the color conversion, VR makes a huge announcement that it was coming out with something big, a 1.85 V1. I checked my serial number to see how this upgrade would cost, and to my surprise it was free. Then wondering if they would honor the upgrade after my color conversion, I sent it in hoping for the best. Well today, I had a message left for me from VR wanting to talk to me about my upgrade. I was sweating it out as the phone was ringing, wondering if they were going to tell me that they couldn't do the upgrade or at least for free. After speaking with them they just wanted to tell me that they converted the colored LED's back to their original "red" color and that they had upgraded my detector, added a year warranty and had placed it back in the mail. I would not have been surprised if they were going to tell me that they could upgrade my unit, but it would cost xxx dollars. Very happy with the outcome. (aside from the LED deal) VR pretty much took care of me, and for that, they have a loyal customer.
