Understood, but don't forget you're also gettng GREAT Laser detection and GREAT K band detection!I am definitely considering a trial run at it.
Like f_399 said, I want to see if I can live with the falses for the ability of the arrows. Wink
I feel that K Band mute for 30 seconds keeps my detector pretty quiet. Oh, and of course disable X if possible.
when i had the X50 i thought it was bad a$$
now that i have a V1.... X50...
it really cant get any better then the latest and greatest V1 (i am not a zombie)
There are great features in both that I wish I could have in 1 detector. :wink:Originally Posted by f_399

i didnt say it wasnt good
it just doesnt have the same WOW factor as the V1
dont get me wrong its a great detector! i just bought an 8500
if you read my past posts i have all praises for the 8500/X50
Raven you are right, they are both great detectors and there are definitely features on the 8500 that i miss.
X2. exactly. both are still awesome detectorsOriginally Posted by ES13Raven
There is nothing like knowing where the threat is at, where it is coming from, and how many of them there are... Like F_399 said you know much sooner when you need to slow down, and when you can get back on the gas. No sitting around for miles droning along wondering where that signal is coming from... Just faster, easier, and more peace of mind. Sure you can eventually figure this all out with another detector, but it is simply difficult to compare it to what you get with the V1.
The downside is it is a lot more information to digest and can take some time to read the nuances of the info the detector is giving you. The more you use it the better you will find it gets.
Congrats on your new detector.

I was getting one ( a V1) since I joined the forum... look at my earlier posts, the X50 is for the bike, the V1 is for the car... but again I am waiting until spring/summer.Originally Posted by Buz
