Ok, so in the past there have been the "best settings" for the v1, but with newest version, what's the run down? Ny and nj area.

I never see k orx band, even in nj...can I really turn x off and auto mute k band?

X band still lives in NJ. In northern NJ its all but been phased out by the state police. But in southern NJ the state police still use it. A lot of municipalities still use. More towns use K band tho.
I recently turned Ka Guard off. I turned the Ka Intensity On. Before I bought my Savvy I had the K band muting on. But I leave it off now. I drive in A mode all the time now.

X band is still used in NJ so beware!
This past memorial day weekend, I went down the A.C. expressway and hit 2 state troopers running X-band constant on in NJ. It's still alive and well in the south.
The overall best settings is Ka Guard off (long distance 1 LED alarms, better off axis, and fast I/O instant alarms- no 2 second delay), POP on for the MPH radars and fast K band I/O. #5 down for photo Ka Radar only. The other setting is to your needs. I use 7, b and 6 down with tab half way, main volume full in little l mode. I see everything with weak X/K signals at a low tab volume for a notice and everything else is important at full volume to head toward the brakes which is the best setting for I/O training to prevent brake spikings. If is a low volume weak signal, just let off of the gas. If it is a loud a-sh*t alarm, you know what to do......
