Ok, Being a V1 owner and having directly purchased 3 V1's and then purchased 4 others for family members who wanted one who weren't too good with the computer I have contributed to a total of 7 V1's over half a decade or more.
I'm back to the decision to be made again. Last V1 around. I purchased at the time the new 9500ix instead of a V1. Wow what a puke\vomit lazy laggy responding peice of crap. I absolutely loved it's GPS features, and being a cisco guy I liked being able to console into the unit and customize it's settings with a computer as I love that type of thing. I really liked the ability of it's LIVE feature, but being a hobbyist c++ programmer I understand they have a ways to go before they fine tune in their live.
Now V1 has had Savvy. It's reply to GPS enabled devices is the Murphy's law sales pitch, and it's a nice counter to people who dont comprehend what Escort is trying to do. I did not like RedLine as V1 defeated in my opinion it's inconsistency of reporting IO shots. RedLine from what I have gained from researching is no longer having this issue. Then there is V1's ramp up. Absolutely perfection in this topic. What can someone say V1 has it's **** down and it works, quite well I might add.
Now ..... Max was tossed in my face the other day from a friend who always loved to bash my V1 love and pride with his RedLine unit who now owns a Passport Max with Live. We did a road trip once, and the RedLine alerted nearly 22 seconds early as V1 stayed silent, boy I never heard the end of that one and still I dont. (You remember that time the RL alrerted 22 seconds ahead of your V1) gets old lol. I had to sell my V1 fighting financial issues.
Now I want some LEO protection again, and I just miss hearing the beeps as I consider an RD as a personally hobby device not reason to break the law.
This passport max detected a KAshot from 7 miles out on hwy 16. It reminded me of old V1 days. Driving thorugh the city the live alerted perfectly from some other LIVE user here in San Antonio, and sure enough the LEO was real as it was marked on the galaxy s3 phone. I have been pretty damn impressed with this.
Also the toilet with RF transceiver used in V1's counter to gps technologies was just exagerant I would remove that. It's looking like a desperate attempt to soil escorts LIVE and I have never ONCE had a good experience with escort products except driving in my buddies car a few days ago watching this thing in action. It's a clear winner, and with software fine tuning it even better it hasn't reached it's max potential imo.
So how is V1 going to counter this? It doesn't need to lock out false alerts Savvy is in my opinion not all that great or intelligent and a bit cumbersome (Analog). V1 needs to step it up a bit. Did MV ever renew his patent on the arrows? God forbid Escort use them in these latest detectors of theirs, or else V1 will get the nail in the coffin.
I want to see something FRESH with V1. Why hell
Change the chassis to a different finish or something ... just something lol.
