does this tint reduce radar signals by all that much? i have a V1 and its mounted behind this blue tint. should i mount lower and get the display or does the tint really not effect the range all that much?

if anything it will affect laser
i dont think it will affect radar
ok thats what i was thinking also, but i wanna get the best range outta my big investment. laser isnt used here in CA yet, but wanted to make sure didnt effect radar. thanks.
good investment! i mount right below the blue tint
see, here is my problem. i have an s-10 and the mirror takes up all the premium mounting space so i have to mount either above it (behind tint) or to the left of it under the tint, but if i do that, i will have to get a concealed display because i cant see the unit, and also, the v1 doesnt "look straight ahead of me, it "looks" off at an angle and the rear horn doesnt "look" out the back. so the only position that will have the unit looking straight to the front and back is behind the blue tint.
i mounted right below the rear view mirror, now i have it to the left of the mirror, i can still see it
i have a lumina
i would move mine lower but i already have it hardwired so i wanna keep it high to keep out the wires. i found a spot where it looks straight out front and back, just cant see the unit. i guess i will just have to invvest in a concealed display. do you know how those plug in with the V1? if i have my V1 hardwired, do i plug the display into the hardwired power source then the display into the V1? :?:
it comes with that adaptor with two sockets right?
one socket is to power the V1, the other is for the concealed display
i dont know how clearly i explained it but let other members chime in to clarify it
i dont have the concealed display yet so im not sure what it comes with. but it looks like it has to jacks in it. i guess my question is, can i plug the display into the existing hardwired source wire, then plug the other jack from the display to V1 so they both turn on when i start my truck? or would i have to have em re-hardwire both things at the saem time?
if u want a display first and foremost grab one with color band id's from lifespeed. should cost u about 20 bucks on top of a new one and im pretty sure he has some around.Originally Posted by againstme!
the display has 1 plug in it.
just like the lighter power adapter, and hardwire power adapter, they both have 2 phone cord plugs.
on the lighter power adapter, the plug without the cover (little plastic fold over) is for the remote display. same thing for the hardwire adapter, 2plugs, 1 for v1, the other for the display.
the v1 and the display both plug into their power sources. same with the hardwire thingie, the display goes into it. the display does not plug into the v1 or vice versa.
once u have your v1 plugged in and powered on as u do, just stick one plug into the display and the other into the power adapter thingie, and the v1 will go into dark mode and the display will light up. the power adapters have memory in them also so when u turn the v1 on again it remembers which mode u have it in, A, l, or L. so everything is wired from the power adapters, no v1 to remote connection as the power adapters are smart and once u plug in the remote, they do the work for you.
i can see what your thinking though, but its alot more simple and easy, just keep in mind the power adapters have more functions than just plug in and power up. they do some switching (dark mode for v1 when remote is plugged in) and remembering for you (modes)..
