Whistler pro 58

I purchased this unit for my sister and was testing it with my bushnel k-band gun. Althoght not a real police radar gun. It has alsways reported k-band on my x50 and v1. To my surprise every couple of times it would report x-band. Im kinda weary now bc i know my sister will ignore all x-band alerts seeing how their all doors or banks in my area. Will this happen with a real police k-band radar unit? Anyone else have similarites with the pro 58 or 73?

I have tested my PRO 58 with my K band gun and it has always reported K band.
You should not have to worry about it, but make sure X band is not used in your area before you tell your sister to ignore all X bands.
If you are sure there are no X bands you can turn off X band by using the city 2 mode.

humm....weird :? you should take the detector back to the store
and exchange it for another one.

It happened to me, I had it on highway mode and there was a speed sign, my PRO 58 went on X band but them a couple of days later I went on city 2 mode (no X band) and it went off on K band.
