Default 2000 Mile trip with the XTR-690 (UPDATED!)

I'm talking a 2000 mile trip to CO and back so it will be perfect to test out the XTR-690!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs on the HWY since I do mostly back road and city driving.

Any problems running the detector for 12 hours more or less straight?

I'll try to get distances and will write a full report when I get back

Hopefully I just get my detector back from Mike B. before I leave Sat., he said it should be back Tues. so I should be good!

It'll be fine. Good luck, and remember to use a rabbit!

Remember, man -- the CO State troopers will be shooting LIDAR somewhere along your trip route, and you can expect some Ka C/O as well. Very little I/O in the Denver-Castle Rock area from the Staties. Locals will run everything from K to Ka to LIDAR.

Thanks I will definitely be cautious. I'm actually knida excitied that I will finally get a good chance to test out the 690.

Not too many cops around town here.

Are you running the I-29 to I-80 to I-76 route? Except for Omaha there isn't much in Nebraska to worry about. Everyone runs 80+ on I-80 and nobody will notice you until you're doing over 90. I-76 into Denver is pretty wide open and lonely for the most part. If you want some real action just start driving around the freeway in Denver during the afternoon hours.

    I'm pretty much taking I-90 W to I-35 S to I-80 W to I-76 S.

Thats good to hear about I-80 tho.

So I am back from the trip and the XTR-690 preformed great!

I had a bunch of saves, but unfortunately due to my stupidity I did get a ticket while headed thro IA.

    IO Ka is a *****!

I will write a full report tommorrow with distances and encounters by state.
