Pro 78 not receiving

Just got back home tonight on my way to the gym saw flashing red and blue lights in the distance rolled on further to find a Speed sign however the Pro 78 did not make a sound. I then turned around and went back by the sign again still no sound or nothing on the display besides highway. So, I drove back home got my Vector 995 and a old escort 7500 and drove back by both alerted some time before the speed zone sign on K band. So went to menu to make sure some how had not turned K band off all bands show to be on. I then drove back by it alerted on a 1 signal about 2 feet it that far before the sign.

Here is the bad part ordered it awhile back cannot find the receipt recently cleaned the office so maybe out of luck. However had noticed here recently that the detector had been not giving much as in the way of signal strength on alerts.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

If your Pro78 alerts just fine to K band microwave door openers around town, then my guess is that the K band speed sign may have been deliberately tuned to right on the edge or just past the edge of the FCC allocated K band bandwidth. This is just a guess and may completely peg out my BS meter avatar. Hopefully Mike B will chime in with his thoughts...

Just got back in town and have my Pro 78 back. It was waiting for me when, I returned back and works as good as ever. As always Mike B provided great customer service and definitely all my future radar detectors will be Whistler!!!
