Is K Band a Napolean frequency?

....in other words is it dead? Man I cannot for the life of me and after thousands of miles find a single LEO with KBand. Sure those trailers with radar are Kband...and the door openers...but I cannot find any KBand using LEO's anywhere. I found XBand in Blanco, Texas....but am desperately seeking KBand using LEO's....in the past 10 days alone I have made two round trips from San Antonio to Dallas...all around both metro areas....through every small town.....no KBand...all Ka Band/Laser and one XBand. I'm about ready to turn it off.

I've seen K band around here only on school campus, some of the cop cars have dash mount units, but most of them like to use handheld radar guns.

Michigan has K-band everywhere, even state POs have a mixture of k and Ka band.

I know K-band is alive and well in NC - had a constant on K-band alert last week from a State Trooper in a brand new Charger! I see K and Ka all the time - only 1 confirmed laser alert and no X-band alerts in the last 6 months.

I've lived in DFW for the past 18 months. I've gotten more K than KA hits. Many of the municipal cops run K. Its annoying because of all the door openers that are close to the freeway. Central FL was mainly KA and Laser.

You are asking for serious trouble if you start turning off, and or ignoring K band alerts.

Nope it's alive and well. My whole parish (county for everyone else ) is K band from what I've seen. The sheriffs are all K band, the 2 biggest towns are K band also. The next parish down from me is 50/50 now, with it being 50% K band and 50% Ka band.

I pretty much only have this dude in his truck, but I only see him about once every two months or so. Other than this one truck, it's pretty much all Ka band or laser for me.

I've drove all over America, and K band is most definitely NOT a dead freq. There's even some here in TX

allen pd (north dallas) runs k band, ka laser. i have seen more k band though, especially at night. they get tricky with it and hide behind wal marts and cvs running i/o k band

i drive mostly during the night and and thats when i experience the most k band use. i think they are hoping to catch people off guard when they see k band on the way home from bars late at night
