    Default Ka max= IMPRESSIVE

I was proud to get a good feel of Ka max while on my trip traveling through Texas and New Mexico for 800 miles round trip. Filter mode and Ka Max were the features i had on. 10 miles outside of Clovis Nm i recieved 3 brief Ka 34.7 alerts. Almost 3 miles ahead of me was a Tx Dps using 34.7 Instant on traveling around 40mph. He was a pretty sloppy shooter shooting every car for 2-3 seconds of radar that passed by him. I suspect he was using both his antennas. I also got a great video of Ka 35.5 Instant on which the video is posted in the video forum. While on 1-40 i was alerted to a brief Ka 35.5 alert and 1.7 miles later came up on a NMSP using 35.5 I/0 in motion. One more alert was another brief Ka 35.5 alert and 1.5 mile later came up on another NMSP with a customer on the side of the road. However Ka max alerted me to towers i passed by in Clovis NM. When real close to the tower it showed a 34.7 ka alert.

Yep in my experience also, Ka max is kick-a$$ especially on open highways.

I wonder if those towers are really spewing out exactly 34.7 Ghz. or if their high power transmitters are overloading or saturating the RDer's receiver circuitry causing a true false?

    In the FWIW department!
A couple LEO encounters the last couple of days.

Today on a hilly country road my 78SE started to randomly alert 35.5 GHz. initially with a 1 signal strength then 2 to 3 then ramped up to 9 sometimes dipping back to 2 or 3. Finally just getting over a hill, it went solid to a full 9 seeing a county LEO coming at me in the distance maybe at a 1000 yrds or so. I estimate the total alert distance easily at a couple miles probably more. My RDer is dash mounted and the road is very hilly yet the 78 'saw' that LEO that whole 2+ mile distance!
I have seldom if ever see LEO's patrolling this road so i typically drive well over the PSL. Not today!

A couple days ago i was driving on a 60mph 4-lane country highway on my way back from the County assessor. Kept getting short random 1 sec. 34.7 Ka alerts for a few miles. At first I chalked this up to the falses some of you guys are reporting.
But after a while the alert signal strengths kept getting stronger until they finally reached a 9 level. At some point it had to be a LEO!... but none seen in my RVM or ahead. I slowed down to the PSL just in case.
After a couple more minutes of those intermittent Ka 9 level alerts there he was in my RVM, a County LEO IO'ng every car in sight coming and going! He was doing a few MPH over the PSL so he eventually passed and i got to witness rolling IO in action for a few more miles. Every single vehicle in the opposite lane got a 1 to 2 second IO zap!

Yep, my 78SE's Ka sensitivity never ceases to amaze!
